Skin cancer is the most common of all cancer types and the number of skin cancer cases has been on the rise for the past few decades, particularly in sunny states like ours. There is a lot you can do to protect yourself and your family from skin cancer. Catching it early so that it can be treated effectively is vital.

To boost awareness of the value of early detection, on Saturday, May 10, Palo Alto Medical Foundation dermatologists will provide free skin cancer screenings on a walk-in basis at the Mountain View Center. This event is open to the community; you do not have to be a patient of Camino Medical Group or the Palo Alto Medical Foundation.

PAMF doctors and other medical experts on site will provide examinations as well as sunscreen samples. Education displays and information on skin cancer will be available.
