Anyone who came to the last free outdoor bout can tell you: it was ridiculously hot out there, but it was a really good time! We can't do anything about the weather (and believe me, we tried) but we can guarantee more hot hard-hitting roller derby action for FREE on Sunday, June 28, in downtown San Jose.
The Silicon Valley Roller Girls' two teams, the Dot.Kamikazes and the KillaBytes, will be mixin' it up at 5 pm at Roosevelt Outdoor Hockey Rink. We know, you keep meaning to make it down to San Jose Skate to see us but you haven't made it yet...well, NOW is the time, because it's FREE! Pack up a cooler full of refreshments, find a seat in the stands, and support your local roller girls.
There are bleachers, but if you prefer to sit closer to the action, bring your own camping chair or folding chair and there will be some space for to sit on the rink. (Out of consideration for fans who may be sitting behind you or in the bleachers, please no umbrellas or canopies in the rink area).
Please note: the venue is an OUTDOOR rink, and it might be a very hot day, so SVRG advises that you dress weather-appropriately including a hat and/or sunglasses, bring some water to keep yourself hydrated and don't forget your sunscreen.
Fun fun fun for families, friends, fans, and fiends!
