Did you know that head and neck cancer is highly treatable if caught early, and signs and symptoms should not be ignored till it is too late?

According to the Singapore Cancer Registry Report around 259 cases of head and neck cancer are being diagnosed every year. Men are three times more susceptible to head and neck cancer as compared to women; and the older one gets, the higher the incidence rates for head and neck cancer.

Head and neck cancer involves malignant (cancerous) tumours in tissues or organs in the head and neck region, such as the throat, sinus, nasal cavity, larynx and salivary glands – organs vital to our everyday life.

The Singapore Cancer Society is organizing a free public forum, with invited medical professionals from across a range of practices such as surgery, radiotherapy, and medical oncology to share more about the signs and symptoms, causes, treatment options and prevention of Head and Neck cancer.

Patients will also be sharing their personal experience and their fight against head and neck cancer.
