With three fine songwriters, Free Peoples is an acoustic-electric quartet described as, "a sort of bluegrass/blues/jazz hybrid - great grooves, excellent arrangements, and Johnny Downer is a kickass lead guitar player." In addition to Downer, the band features Tim Sawyer on guitar and lead vocals, Michael Dipirro on bass and vocals and drummer James Foster.
