Join Borderlands Books & Variety Children's Charity at the Preview Room, for our FREE monthly SF/F/Horror Film Series. Good thing there's a cash bar open at 6:30 so you can calm your jumpy nerves before the flick!

Gee whiz, kids! It's a satanic double feature! Yay!

7:00PM - THE SEVENTH VICTIM - 1943 from IMDB: Producer Val Lewton again utilizes leftover Magnificent Ambersons sets for his psychological horror piece The Seventh Victim. Kim Hunter (Zira in Planet of the Apes) arrives in New York to search for her errant sister Jean Brooks. Gradually, the naive Hunter is drawn into a strange netherworld of Satan worshippers. A moody, eerie and atmospheric film, with satisfying thrills & shudders.

9:00PM - ROSEMARY'S BABY - 1969
When I tell you that the plot keywords on the IMDB are Vitamin / Nursery / Stage Acting / Meat / Demonic Possession-- how can you resist?? It's the outstanding example of a scary movie - no gore, no blood. And not just because the demonic possession is stage acting, either...although Ruth Gordon certainly does chew up the scenery.

Doors open at 6:30PM, and there will be a short intermission between films. Seated is limited and on a first-come/first-seated basis, so arrive early. Join us for one or both movies!

CASH BAR - beer, whiskey, cider - opens at 6:30PM. Sodas and water are available for purchase also. BUT POPCORN IS FREE!

Hosted by Borderlands Books, the purveyor of all that's cool and freaky in science fiction, fantasy, and horror literature. You'll find their store is all you need to feed your habit - stop by and say hi to Ripley at 866 Valencia in San Francisco, or visit their website at
