WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU LOSE YOUR JOB?

Cedar Park, Texas, April 20, 2009 - The question that is on millions of minds is repeated daily in our Austin area. Now, in a FREE workshop, unemployed men and women can find real solutions. Everything from Resume Writing, Interview Techniques, Networking Strategies, Dressing to Make a Great Impression to Financial Problem Solving and Budgeting will be included on Sunday, May 3 in Cedar Park, Texas.

With both morning and afternoon sessions, the Career Transitions Workshop is tackling the problems of unemployment. Kicking off at 9 am, a panel of experts, including experienced recruiters, Tisha and Scott Kopas, will present tips on resume writing, interview techniques and networking. Paul Irwin of Chisolm Trail Financial will offer suggestions and information on budgeting with an emphasis on preserving your capital. Ron Brown will present an employer's viewpoint to get the right job while RC Cutcher, local real estate expert will discuss keeping your home in tough economic times. Dressing correctly to make a great first impression will be conducted by Jane Carris, award winning sales executive.

As part of Highpoint Fellowship's Annual Faith in Action Day, computers and printers will be set up for immediate resume writing and reviewing. Mock interviews will prepare job seekers along with networking opportunities. Although there is no charge for the event, pre-registration would be appreciated.

The Sunday event is in preparation of Phase 2 of the project: the First Annual Job Fair set for Tuesday, May 5 at the Cedar Park Public Library. Local, state and national businesses will be on hand looking for qualified employees to fill actual job openings. There are still several openings for companies wanting representation.
