Free electric blanket checks October 11, 2010

Residents can rest easy at night by getting their electric blankets checked at free sessions run across the district.

Hampshire Trading Standards, Hampshire Fire and Rescue and East Hampshire District Council have come together to organise the checks.

Last year around 60 per cent of the 2,000 electric blankets checked were deemed unsafe.

The free tests will be held at:

Alton Fire Station, 11 October 2010
Waterlooville Fire Station, 14 October 2010
Bordon Fire Station, 18 October 2010
