Pal-O-Mine Equestrian, a nonprofit therapeutic horseback riding program dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities, is currently accepting applications to participate in a free eight-Week Parent Support and Therapy program for parents of children with disabilities. The program will utilize Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, a brief and powerful therapeutic approach that involves a licensed mental health professional, a certified equine specialist and specially trained horses. At the end of the eight-week program, individuals should have a new understanding about who they are as people and parents, new insight on handling their child’s behavior, and a great support system. The program will take place on Thursdays and Fridays beginning April 15th and is made possible by The Slomo and Cindy Silvian Foundation. For more information about the program or to receive an application please call (631) 348 – 1389 or visit www.pal-o-mine.org.
