FREE COMPUTER CLASSES COVER SEVERAL TOPICS

Several free computer classes are being offered at the Pendleton Community Library, 595 East Water Street, in Pendleton. All classes are free and open to the public.

Class size is limited and will be available on a first come first serve basis. Registration is required. Call the library at (765) 778-7527 to register.

INTRODUCTION TO COMPUTERS - Thursday, July 12, 6:00 p.m.

It will teach you how to properly start and shut down the computer. You will learn how to use the mouse and keyboard; how to open, minimize, maximize, and close

windows. You will also learn how to create and save a simple word document.

INTERNET 101 - Thursday, July 19, 6:00 p.m.

This class will teach you the basics of the internet browsing program. It will also teach you how to use search engines and the basic toolbar buttons.

MICROSOFT ACCESS 101 - Thursday, July 26, 6:00 p.m.

This class will help you work with mailing lists, phone lists, and address books. This class will teach you how to create and process data in a database.

BEGINNING PUBLISHER - Thursday, August 2, 6:00 p.m.

This class will show you how to create newsletters and brochures. This class will teach you how to insert pages, text and graphics and use design layout.

All computer classes are taught by Patrick Nice, a very patient instructor.
