Free Childrens Booksigning "Which Hat Will I Choose?" December 19, 2009

Childrens book signing by author Sally Singer in the Gift Shop at Flamingo Gardens, Dec 19 from 10am to 2pm. “Which Hat Will I choose?” enriches the imagination of young children. Each day a new hat changes a child’s make-believe world. All children love to dress up and imitate. Role playing not only intrigues, but teaches children about the larger world around them. This book introduces different types of careers as well as the days of the week. Even the youngest children will enjoy the beautiful illustrations and rhymes. Author Sally Singer, has a B.S. in Education, taught preschool and elementary school for 20 years, and has written many stories for her six grandchildren. Linda Guarin, illustrator of the book, taught in elementary schools around the world for nine years. The book was inspired by her son who loves to wear all kinds of hats around the house.

Inside the Gardens on that day, Santa visits historic Wray Home from 11am to 1pm. Admission is $17 for ages 12+, $8.50 ages 4-11, children under 4 are free. Admission includes the botanical gardens, wildlife exhibits, live Wildlife Encounter Shows and guided tours of historic Wray Home decorated for the holidays. The tour by tram is additional.
