Blood Pressure Screenings at McDonald’s?! That’s right! The Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) in collaboration with McDonald’s and the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois (NFKI) will host free blood pressure screenings throughout Chicagoland during the month of June.

Event Date & Location

Monday, June 18, 2007 at McDonald’s 3200 W. Roosevelt (Roosevelt & Kedzie)

Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at McDonald’s at 70 E. Garfield (On Garfield between Wabash and Michigan)

Time: 10am-2pm

Cost: FREE (and you even get a coupon for a complimentary McDonald’s Apple Dippers or $1 off McDonald’s Fruit & Walnut Salad!)

It only takes a minute, but early detection and aggressive treatment of high blood pressure can prevent kidney failure. Interested individuals and groups may dial 311 for information on area locations and partners hosting free screenings.
