Foxfield Four, formerly The David James Band, began as a piano-driven four piece in the tradition of Ben Folds, Jamie Cullum, and Jerry Lee Lewis. After earning a degree in classical piano, David James and his brother Preston teamed up with two like-minded Denverites–Wes Barton and Justin Francoeur–to create 2010′s ‘Street Performer’, an album that has garnered local praise for it’s catchy melodies and jazz-inspired style. The final track, ‘Alcohol.edu’, earned James the BMI John Lennon Scholarship. The album has been played on 93.3FM KTCL, 97.4FM KBCO, Colorado Public Radio, Pandora, and multiple other stations around the country. Musicians and non-musicians alike can appreciate the band’s ardent approach to writing and inspired live performances.

In 2012 Foxfield Four blazed a new trail with new guitarist Mike Albrecht, who has greatly helped shape and refine their sound. The first EP under their new name Foxfield Four, entitled “Weatherman”, will be released summer of 2012. In the mean time, the group is constantly writing and recording new material as part of their quest for ‘Pop Music Rehabilitation’.
