On Friday evening, October 16 between 7 and 11 pm The Durand Foundation will hold its Fourth Annual Casino Night Fundraiser at Elite Catering at The Coliseum at 333 Preston Avenue in Voorhees. The Durand Foundation is the philanthropic arm for Durand Academy & Community Services, a non-profit organization that provides services to children and adults with autism and other disabilities, as well as their families throughout South Jersey.

The evening will present professionally run casino games, including extra Texas Hold ‘em tables and horse racing, both new this year. There will be a silent auction and raffle drawings of items including 2 VIP tickets to The Daily Show and The Colbert Report in NYC; overnight hotel accommodations, airline tickets, wines, restaurant gift cards, passes and memberships to museums and several cultural sites, among many other items. Ticket prices of $50.00 each enable attendees to receive $25.00 in chips. There’s an early bird special for anyone purchasing a ticket before 10/1/09 to receive $25 extra in chips (total $50 value in chips per $50 ticket). Durand Academy & Community Services, Inc. was established in 1972 to serve Southern New Jersey individuals with special needs and their families. This multi-service agency today operates a K-8 school in Woodbury, an adult vocational day center in Mount Laurel, a Thrift Shop which employs the agency’s special needs day clients in Woodbury, group homes throughout South Jersey; respite services and training programs for more than 240 families, as well as First Responder autism training for fire, police and emergency personnel.
