Fourth Annual Asia Food Fest September 11, 2009

Enjoy the best of local Asian cuisine in this two-day festival, Friday, Sept. 11 and Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Texas Culinary Academy (11400 Burnet Rd. Ste. 2100). On Friday, take a Tour of Asia and enjoy an array of Asian flavors, meet your favorite chefs at a Meet the Chefs Reception, plus cash bar. On Saturday, it’s a full day of pan-Asian activities including an Iron Chef-style cooking competition, dynamic cooking classes for kids and adults, and an Asian market with merchandise showcasing a range of Asian cultural items. The event is presented by the Texas Asian Chamber of Commerce (TACC), along with Satay Restaurant and Texas Culinary Academy. Friday, Sept. 11: Tour of Asia/Meet the Chefs Reception, 6 to 8 p.m., $35. Saturday, Sept. 12: Classes from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Adult cooking classes, $15; Kids' cooking classes, $10.
