Four Seasons of Sizhu: Silk and Bamboo Music at MOCA December 13, 2009

This is a series of of eight educational performances for children and families by four of New York's finest Chinese music ensembles. The series is divided into four seasons, reflecting the variety of nature themes characteristic of Sizhu (silk and bamboo) music--a chamber ensemble form of Chinese music utilizing a fascinating variety of silk strings and bamboo wind instruments. Each Sunday session will include performances alternating with interactive learning activities for children.
