PDX.rb presents… FOSCON II: The Ruby Rodeo

We invite you to join us for a set of presentations on Ruby programming and Ruby culture. Confirmed speakers include:

* Alex Bunardzic
* Lucas Carlson
* Topher Cyll
* Ryan Davis
* Geoffrey Grosenbach
* Amy Hoy

If you didn’t catch it last year, FOSCON is a free and fun gathering of Ruby fans held in the evening during O’Reilly’s Open Source Convention. Photos from last year’s event can be found on Flickr (http://flickr.com/photos/tags/foscon).

The speakers will be discussing a wide range of topics of interest to the Ruby community. And in case that wasn’t enough, pizza will be provided! We look forward to seeing you there.

Keep up-to-date on FOSCON news via our wiki page, located here: http://oscamp.org/FOSCON.

* Who: You, us, and anyone else who is interested in Ruby
* What: Ruby, discussion, and pizza

Getting There

FOSCON is held at FreeGeek, 1731 SE 10th Ave. in Portland. There are a few ways to get there:

* PDX.rb members will be providing taxi service from the convention center starting at 6:30.
* For those who enjoy a good walk, a walking tour led by local Rubyists will also happen (details to be determined).
* Finally, Portland’s transit system is great, and you can easily hop a bus. See Google Transit for how to do it.

FOSCON is sponsored by CD Baby: a little CD store with the best new independent music.
