The Puget Sound Millennium Goals Project in association with the Seattle Chapter of the United Nations Association presents a public forum to discuss how to further awareness of and progress on meeting the UN's millennium goals: eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, achieve universal primary education, promote gender equality and empower women, reduce child mortality, improve maternal health, combat HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases, ensure environmental sustainability, and develop a global partnership for development.

Julliard grad Elizabeth Roy Roe's recent performance as part of the Rising Stars at Ravinia series was hailed as "stunning" by the 'Chicago Sun Times.' She performs Beethoven's 'Sonata in A-flat major, op. 110,' Mussorsky's virtuoso showpiece 'Pictures at an Exhibition,' as well as works by Wagner, Prokofiev and Glinka.
