What is "forro" you ask? Simply put, it's an all-out, good time Brazilian dance party. Having originated in northeastern Brazil in the mid-1900s, it was originally a mispronunciation of the English words "For All" and was meant to describe the inclusive nature of the Brazilian party. Some of Brazil's finest forro musicians will join the party every Monday to lay down some of the hottest Brazilian forro grooves found in North America. Forro at the Wha? is a popular and well established Brazilian ensemble in New York City.
