Forever Activists: Film Screening and Discussion

Forever Activists: Stories from the Veterans of the Abraham Lincoln Brigade, an Academy-Award nominated film narrated by folk singer Ronnie Gilbert, traces the life-long activism of seven volunteers who fought in the Spanish Civil War and went on to champion such causes as civil rights and ending the Vietnam War. Judith Montell, who produced, directed, and wrote the film, will speak after the screening and answer questions about the project. Presented in conjunction with Facing Fascism: New York and the Spanish Civil War. $
