Our summer free day activities highlight the
cultural and historical resources of Fontenelle Forest:
10 a.m. Birds of Prey Up Close
10:15 a.m., 12:30 & 1:30 p.m. History Trail Hikes
Relax and enjoy the forest’s natural and human histories on this 1½ mile,
guided hike through time. Approximately 2 hours. No strollers.
1 – 2 p.m. Life & Times of Peter A. Sarpy
by Darrel W. Draper from the Nebraska Humanities Council
History comes to life through interaction, humor and drama surrounding Nebraska’s
transformation from a French colony to statehood.
11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Native American music & dance performance

12:30 p.m. Nature stories for kids
2 – 3 p.m. Native American interactive dance & storytelling
