ForePlays, PianoFight's female-driven sketch comedy group, debuts a brand-new show that dares to imagine a free-floating California. After a sudden earthquake breaks the Golden State off from America, "The New California" is born. "The New California" will run every Wednesday night from November 28 thru December 19 at 8 p.m. at The Traveling Jewish Theater (470 Florida St., btwn 17th & Mariposa, San Francisco).

Experience this apocalyptic new frontier as citizens must learn how to utilize miles of beachfront property, celebrities must choose between successful infomercial careers and their own mortality, and journalists must decide whether to report the news or dance with crustaceans. "The New California" promises to rattle you to the bone. Your funny bone.

As if that isn't enough, a slew of talent female stand-up comedians and musicians, including Claire O'Kane, Anna Seregina, Claire Plumb, Elisa Hammersla, and Lady Blanche, will also take the stage each Wednesday night. ForePlays is written, directed and produced by Kate Jones, Jessica Mele, Emma Rose Shelton, Rachel Rockwood, Meredith Terry and Sarah Wright. Joining the ForePlays ladies as directors and actors in "The New California" are Sara Staley, Chris Cadena, Bryan Quinn, Devin McNulty, Leah Shesky, Siobhan Doherty, Rich Egan and Carole Acuna.

Tickets are $20 (general admission) and $30 (VIP, with $5 from each ticket sold going to Hurricane Sandy relief) at the door and are available online at www.pianofight.com/shows.
