For the Love of Children: Choices For Children Art Show and Silent Auction October 20, 2007

This unique event features American and Bengali school children’s art as well as work from adult artists. Many Pump Project artists are contributing their work. The artwork as well as goods and services from Austin businesses will be offered in a silent auction. The artwork includes expressive drawings and paintings, mosaics, batiks and painted furniture.

Libby Kirkpatrick, Sue Young, Laura Freeman and others will perform at the event. Silent auction closes at 5 pm.

Choices for Children is part of For Kid's Sake, a fundraising campaign of Dayemi Tariqat to support orphanages and schools in Bangladesh. It’s possible to really make a difference because money goes so far in Bangladesh. Only 71 cents a day will take care of a Bengali child’s fundamental needs like food, clothing, shelter, healthcare, education and a safe environment. For more information, contact 512-698-0637.
