I.P.Arts Society with Mask Art Performing People & Poorva Sanskritik Kendra presents A new social comedy drama 'Footpath'. Written & Directed By: Prosun. On Stage : Anju Thakur, Lucky Kataria, Kishan Pal, Varun Hira,Kishan Bhardwaj, Deepak Kumar, Roshan Preet, Sameer Anand, Praveen Sitara, Prosun, Shashank Gaur, Dinesh Sharma, Sahil Arora, Dinesh Ahlawat, Arjun Rawat, Ishwar Pal,Dr. Supriya, Kashish Khan, Seema Ratnakar & Rajeev Oberoi. Footpath is a story of small town, where people are living peacefully, but the life of people gets change, after a Govt. Hospital is built. There is a common man along with his pregnent wife who live on the 'Foot Path'. They also got ansious about the opening of the hospital. The people of the town are also very happy about the hospital. Some are planing to open shops and earn their livilyhood. But suddenly, the whole town gets divided in to groups. One a Muslim group and the other a Hindu group, the muslim group wants a muslim name for the hospital and hindu group wants a hindu name for it. Though both the groups know that once the hospital came into existence, they will not have to go to the other town for their treatments and hospital will also help them in earning their livilyhood. In this whole situation, the common man, who has nothing to do with the name of hospital, gets more effected. Nobody is thinking about their problems. Some people just want to make an essue out of the name of the hospital, so that they can benif out of this situation and for that they try to cash the religous sentiments of the common man. What the common man should do ? Will this hospital ever come into existence ? Where this communal feeling will take the people and the society ? Will the pregnent lady be able to deliver her child in the hospital ? Is this communal feeling also effecting our young generation ? What actually the religion is doing ? Is it making us strong or week ? And the most important question is actually there is any need of any religion in our society, except the religion of umanity.
