FontHunt 2005: The Typographic Shakedown of NYC July 18, 2005

In celebration of Type Week in New York City, FontShop presents FontHunt, a typographic scavenger hunt. Document the signs and letters of the city and win cash prizes.

Calling all font freaks! You know who you are ? routinely identifying the typeface on your restaurant menu, calling out bad kerning wherever you go, standing in open awe of great old signage ? you love type and we want to reward you for it.

Not a type nerd? You don?t need to be an expert to participate in FontHunt. Type Week is all about spreading a love of letters to every New Yorker, even those from Ohio, Montana, and Texas. We?ll provide detailed instructions and decode the lingo. All you need is a digital camera and a small team of urban voyeurs.
