Following Lincoln as He Followed Douglas August 20, 2009

Speaker Georgiann Baldino's presentation travels 2,100 miles across Illinois with images of the towns, historical markers and memorials to Abraham Lincoln’s 1858 campaign. When Lincoln stood up to Stephen A. Douglas, they redefined American democracy. The way they took on the dangerous subject of slavery still influences today's political process.
