"No Boundaries" is the declaration of the North American Folk Music and Dance Alliance. We at Folk Alliance believe that the genre of folk has literally 'no boundaries'. Folk is encompassing of any form of art that is rooted in tradition whether it be blues, jazz, gospel, Americana, bluegrass, etc. The desire to spread the knowledge of this concept convinced us that it is time for our Memphis grand opening. The FA will be hosting an evening of entertainment and community on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2006 @ The Warehouse, 36 GE Patterson, Memphis, TN. From 8:30-midnight, we will offer complimentary beverage, eats, and fun for members of the Mid-south music and media arena. Tickets are free. Our entertainment for the October event will be quite organic. We are holding an open mic. call for all interested musicians beginning Monday, Sept. 11. Each performer/ group will be allotted a twenty minute performance for the evening along with invites for their friends and family to enjoy the event as well
