Foals With Freelance Whales and the Naked and Famous April 25, 2011

Formed from the ashes of The Ed Fitz, Foals re-invigorated and re-invented a genre with their unique blend of minimal and post hardcore mathletics. Their first album, Antidotes, was released in 2008 to great acclaim. Their new album, Total Life Forever, was release in May 2010. Featuring the singles ‘Balloons', ‘Cassius', ‘Red Socks Pugie' and ‘Olympic Airways', the album was highly acclaimed and nominated for the 2010 Mercury Prize. Foals are perhaps one of Transgressive Records' most defining acts with their persistence with fan club shows and strange split releases (check out their killer split with Holy Fuck! or their collaborations with Kieran Hebden). Foals are, indeed, a very special band, and their new album currently in pre-production will surely cement their position as an important, devotional act.
