Flowers & Festivals: Four Seasons in Japanese Prints August 28, 2011

This exhibition showcases a variety of ukiyo-e woodblock prints that chronicled the life of the Japanese urban middle class during the Edo period (1615-1867). Love of nature, gardening and the changing of the seasons are themes that often appear in these masterful prints.
