The Florestan Piano Trio has earned itself a reputation as one of the leading piano trios in the world. The trio is the recipient of Britain's Royal Philharmonic Society Award for chamber music -- the first ever given to a piano trio. Susan Tomes, pianist, was the first woman to read music at King's College, Cambridge, which had been an exclusively male college for 400 years.
