Floral Still-Life Paintings: Tribute to Mrs Meyerhoff April 5, 2007

The Meyerhoffs are famous for having amassed one of the most prized collections of twentieth and twenty-first century modern masters. The selection of around twenty-three watercolors, pastels and drawings includes works by Delacroix, Cezanne, Redon, Klee, Kokoschka, Schiele, Mondrian, Matisse, Magritte, Nolde and Dali among others. This group of paintings functions as a mini meditation on this sub-genre of still-life painting, as well as summarizing rapidly the history of early modernism from Impressionism through Surrealism and beyond.
