Transported by music, the FSO's musical adventure travels from majestic mountaintops to expansive valleys. Resplendent highs and lows of intense instrumental textures resonate the rhythm of our progression. Composed in Austria, Beethoven's Coriolan Overture summons the tragic story of Coriolanus, the vengeful war-seeker evicted from Rome. In contrast, the FSO presents a current-day marimba concerto composed by Maestro Diemecke, followed by German composer Gustav Mahler's monumental four-movement Symphony No. 1 in D major, also written in Austria, to highlight the evening.
