He explored his passion for Drawing and Printmaking by working in the field since 1986. An Artist who has poineered the Art of Printmaking specially Etching , Lithography and such creative medium , whose works reflect the beauty of nature and its reflective moods. Enthuastic and energetic Basak is among those who have impressed with their skillfull harnessing of technic and creativiyy. The perfect atmosphire of Art in Santiniketan , the spacious studiowith every conceivable facility , the invaluable guidance of renowned teachers such as Sanat Kar, Somenath Hore and Laluprasad Shaw made Uttam Basak develop his own technic and identity in his works.
