Flights & Bites Wine Tasting Passport December 4, 2010

Saturday December 4th participants are invited to “Flights and Bites,” a progressive food and wine tasting event. At points throughout the day, guests travel to four different wineries where they will sample exquisite, hand-crafted wines paired with delicious morsels.

• Costa de Oro from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
• Kenneth Volk Vineyards from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
• Riverbench Winery from 2 to 4 p.m.
• Core Wines from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.

Sunday December 5th ticket holders are invited to visit other participating Santa Maria Valley wineries (including Cambria Winery, Byron, Rancho Sisquoc, Tres Hermanas, and William James Cellars at Central Coast Wine Services) at no additional cost. Additionally, if guests skipped a winery on Saturday they may visit on Sunday (although food and wine pairings will only be available on Saturday).

Tickets are available for advance purchase at Costa de Oro Winery, Kenneth Volk, Riverbench Winery and Core Wine Company (by cash or check only) and by credit card online at shop.smvwines.com. Tickets cost $25 if purchased by November 22nd (then $30 until December 2nd). Admission fees include a Riedel glass and event program. Student tickets are $20. A percentage of all proceeds will support the Blochman Union School District.

In addition, special lodging rates are available to “Flights and Bites” participants at The Historic Santa Maria Inn, Rodeway Inn, and Radisson Hotel. Mention the event to receive your discount.
