As the Civil War approached, photography became all the more important with soldiers suiting up in their finest and most fierce attire, ready to march onto the battlefield in glorious combat. Come to the Museum of the Confederacy to learn about the different types of photography used in the years leading up to and during the American Civil War.

View and discuss photographs from the Civil War
Find clues and hints to interpret history
Learn about Civil War photography

While visiting the Museum, take the opportunity to tour the fully restored White House of the Confederacy to enhance your understanding of this pivotal time in history.

The morning session lasts from 10:00am to 11:45am. There is also an afternoon session from 1:00pm to 2:45pm.

Admission: $5 for Adults and Children 5 years and up.
