Flamingo Road was originally founded in the late '70s and became regulars on the New York Circuit in the early '80s. After 30 years, Glenn Mohr (vocals, guitar and piano), Frank McDonald (bass and vocals), Rich Chiraz (drums) and Des Burke (guitar, keyboards and vocals) reunited, unexpectedly, to rekindle their music and friendship as the Flamingo Road band. It became immediately apparent that there was still an undeniable chemistry between them and that a lot of wonderful music had been silenced for too long. The group always traced its primary influences to the "art school" groups of the original British invasion. Bands like The Kinks, The Beatles, The Stones, and Manfred Mann, who created innovative music within a three minute song. However, Glenn states that the band tried to do more than just present music to their audience. "Naturally we wanted to entertain and some songs were really funny, but others told stories. We felt the best bands created multiple moods and feelings and brought their audience to several places."
