Flamingo Family Food Festival November 7, 2009

The main event features a BBQ Beef Brisket Culinary School Cook-off Competition, food samples from ten top restaurants, the Kids Korner at the Flamingo Cafe with hands-on cooking demonstrations, great wines and libations, as well as a live country band. The event also includes a Flamingo Gardens tour by tram, a live wildlife encounter show, the historic Wray Home and the botanical collections and native wildlife exhibits. The VIP reception features catered passed hors d'ouevres and specialty cocktails in addition to the main event. This event is being presented by the South Florida Chapter of the American Institute of Wine & Food (AWIF) and Flamingo Gardens. A joint effort, proceeds will benefit AWIF's programs and help to support Flamingo Gardens botanical collections and wildlife as well.
