A flag raising ceremony is set to take place at Harborough District Council on Monday (20th June 2011) to honour the armed forces.
The flag will be raised at 10.30 am on Monday, 20th June 2011, at the top of the council office building in Market Harborough – a few days before Armed Forces Day which takes place on Saturday 25th June 2011.
The Deputy Lieutenant Neil Townsend will be attending, along with Harborough District Council’s Chairman, Leader and Chief Executive.
Market Harborough and Lutterworth branches of the Royal British Legion (RBL) together with representatives from the Royal Air Force Association (RAFA), Royal Naval Association (RNA), St John’s Ambulance, Army Cadet Force (ACF) and the Air Training Corps (ATC) have been invited to gather at Church Square for the ceremony.
