Flag Raising Ceremony June 20, 2011

Richmondshire District Council is holding a small flag raising ceremony to give its support to Armed Forces Day and mark the start of Armed Forces Week. This year plans are in place to hoist the flag on Monday 20th June 2011 in The Friary Gardens, Victoria Road, Richmond, North Yorkshire, DL10 4AJ. The ceremony will commence at 10.15 am. Representatives from our armed forces, the Royal British Legion, cadet forces, local dignitaries and various other groups and organisations will be invited to send representatives to attend. Admission is free and all are welcome to attend the event and show their support to our Armed Forces.
