Five Corners Quintet February 8, 2006

Ooooo, proper jazz heading our way as Finnish jazz maestros Five Corners Quintet touch down at Fiddlers in Bristol on February 9th as part of their current tour.
Never intending to be anything other than a part time project that released the odd single, Five Corners' run of three 10" on the Ricky Tick label promptly sold out everywhere and they found themselves sitting on a hot jazz pot, and promptly stirred it by releasing the album 'Chasin the Jazz Gone By' featuring a cast of some of the finest jazz players in the world right now - including 60's legend Eero Koivistoinen, Jukka Eskola, Blue Note artist Severi Pyysalo, and Nuspirit Helsinki players Tuomas Kallio and Teppo Makynen - This is true jazz of the past brought into the now
