FIRST FRIDAY - Homeschool Groups Programming, "The Days of Knights" January 7, 2011

Step back in time to the Middle Ages! Through an integrated use of literacy, art and artifacts – students are transported back to the days of proud knights and noble ladies. In the Museum classroom, students handle reproduction armor, use what they learn about heraldry to create their own shield and listen to an engaging story. Observation and team building skills are put to the test as students work in small teams to complete an investigation guide involving primary and secondary sources from the time period in our Royal Armouries collection. Your visit won’t be complete until students see one of our live performances such as “Day in the Life: Middle Ages” or “Two Handed Sword.” Advanced reservations and payment required.
