The Friends of Florida State Parks, Inc. and Gamble Rogers Memorial State Recreation Area are proud to present the First Annual Gamble Rogers Memorial Celebration.

This one day event will honor Gamble Rogers, the famous folk singer who lost his life in 1991 while attempting to rescue another from drowning at what was then Flagler Beach State Park. The celebration will include a day of folk music and storytelling by artists who knew and performed with Gamble Rogers during his career. There will also be storytelling workshops by the Tale Tellers of St. Augustine, nature and history themed exhibits, guided tours by the Flagler Audubon Society, food, children’s activities and more! This event is sponsored by the Friends of Florida State Parks, Inc.

The cost of the event is $10 per adult and $5 for children 18 and younger. Children under 6 are free. Tickets will be available in advance, please contact (386) 517-2088 for information.
