The Firesign Theatre's most famous character creation, "Nick Danger, Third Eye, America's Only Detective," was born in 1969, the script written first as a pilot for a radio series but quickly adapted to 1940's microphones and "new" multi-track recording as Side Two of their never out-of-print second: LP release for Columbia, "How Can You Be in Two Places at Once, When You're Not Anywhere At All?"

The Firesign Foursome - Phil Austin, Peter Bergman, David Ossman and Phil Proctor - premiered recently at the Golden State Theatre in Monterey to great reviews.

The opportunity to see the group on stage, where they mix memorable scenes from their recorded works with unexpected twists, new material and improvisation is indeed a rare one.

In 2006 the Library of Congress inaugurated the classis best-selling LP Don't Crush That Dwarf, Hand Me The Pliers into our country's honored trove of historical (and hysterical) recordings and last year, Shout! Factory released Danger in a Box - a compilation of classic Nick Danger Adventure, including many never-before-released episodes.
