Celebrating it's fifth successful year, the annual Fire and Wood festival returns from the 2nd - 4th June 2012.
The three day festival, is a fantastic celebration of the heritage centre's local artisans.

The aim of the festival is to show visitors a diverse range of interesting local crafts from woodturning to chainsaw carving, beekeeping to pottery throwing, blacksmithing to pole lathe turning and will also include demonstrations on survival bush crafts in the style of Bear Grylls.

The festival is structured around a charcoal burn; an activity that takes three days and requires burners to take up residence at the woodland site. The stack is built on the Saturday morning and while carefully monitored a busy schedule of artisans celebrating the elements of Fire and Wood will perform and demonstrate across the site.
