SPEAKER/ENTERTAIER: Jacques Lalonde, Actor/Entertainer

TOPIC: "Finding the Creative Process Within"

DESCRIPTION: Jacques Lalonde has been teaching Creative Process, Comedy, Acting and Dream Building workshops since 1991. He encourages participants to find the magic inside themselves and start writing, drawing and/or creating as a means of healing and self expression. "There is no such thing as a bad poem, story or drawing...there is only learning to make the next one better."

He has worked with the National Film Board of Canada, The Vancouver International Film Festival, Children's Festival, Comedy Festival, Dragonboat Festival, Surrey and Vancouver First Night, The Prince Rupert Comedy Festival and Public Dreams Illuminares and Circus of Dreams. He has performed for over a million people with organizations like the Arts Club, Carousel, The Museum of Civilization, Green Thumb Theatre, Axis Theatre and most recently was the French Host of Live City Vancouver at the Vancouver 2010 Olympics and Paralympics.

Time: 11:30 pm registration and socializing, 12:00 pm potluck lunch, 1:00 pm meeting starts for 1:00-3:00 pm program.
