Final Fridays Screening Series at Caroline Collective

Featuring Microcinema International's Independent Exposure

The last Friday of every month, Independent Exposure brings you the newest and most innovative short films from around the world. Curated by Microcinema and Asthmatic Kitty Records and hosted by Caroline Collective, this year's film festival features both emergent and established filmmakers.

Each movie screening will be preceded by a musical act curated by Houston Press Music Editor, Chris Gray. The film screening of approximately one hour will begin at dusk following the musical act.

Limited Edition silk-screened posters designed by Evan O'Neil will be produced for each event; the first 20 attendees will each receive a poster, the remainder will be available for sale.

Independent Exposure is a project of Microcinema International. Since its inception in 1996, Independent Exposure has been a curatorial effort designed to bring short films to a, broader audience by using non-traditional venues. These programs have been exhibited in "microcinemas" such as galleries, microcinemas, museums, outdoors, and other alternative spaces that support the independent visual arts.
