March 10, 2010 at 5:30 pm
Cabral Center, John D. O’Bryant African American Center Northeastern University

Join Sport in Society and the John D. O’Bryant African American Center for a special sneak preview Fair Play, a powerful new documentary about the global anti-apartheid movement that took on South Africa’s entrenched apartheid regime and its international supporters. Part of a powerful new series called HAVE YOU HEARD FROM JOHANNESBURG, Fair Play shows how sports boycotts helped bring one of the world’s most brutally repressive governments to its knees.

Guests are invited to join us for networking and light refreshments prior to the screening and a panel discussion featuring experts in sport, human rights and the anti-apartheid movement .

The Have You Heard from Johannesburg Campaign is a partnership of Clarity Films, Active Voice and Steps International, with major funding provided by the Ford Foundation. Visit www.activevoice.net/haveyouheard.html to learn more.
