Do you make films? Film People is a documentary about filmmakers who've collaborated online to produce an insightful film about why they make films and how they see themselves in this new digital age. Born from an idea set out in a previous film concept named 'Four People' (which never quite got off the mark), this new film broadens the outlook of the idea to include filmmakers of all genres and skillsets. Whether you make films in HD or using a camera phone!

GraphicQuarter is looking for filmmakers to submit film clips of themselves answering the question 'Why do you make the films you make?'. You can point the camera at yourself to do this, you can film it upside down or film the back of your head. If you're an animator you can animate a character giving your answer or work with type to spell it out onscreen, most importantly, you should make your response reflect the type of films you've made or plan to make in the future. Your clip can be as long or short as you want it to be, however long you feel you'd like to answer the question, you can go into detail about how you make films and what you have in the pipeline or you can answer with a few words, the choice is yours.

Submissions should ideally be made on MiniDV, but DVD and QuickTime files (or other digital formats - wmv, cameraphone videos etc.) can also be sent (all tapes and DVDs will be returned). The deadline at this point is open, but remember it's a first come first served policy and the films duration will be capped at 4 minutes, so get in quick to avoid being left out. Entry is FREE, it's just the cost of posting your submission (totally free if you're able to email your clip or provide a link to download from).

It is intended to get the film shown on Sky TV, reputable online outlets and of course film festivals. All included filmmakers will be credited and can choose to have a weblink included to a portfolio of their work or any other site of their choice for further promotion.

The emphasis is on fun and getting yourself noticed in the evergrowing world of filmmaking, so get involved, have a laugh and be part of a unique film.
