On Tuesday, November 9th at 7 p.m., the Virginia Holocaust Museum will show, "Monsieur Batignole."

The film begins in 1942, in occupied Paris, as an apolitical grocer named Edmond Batignole moves into an apartment recently confiscated from a Jewish family, the Bernsteins.

When the young Simon Bernstein attempts to return to his former home, Batignole hides him from the prying eyes of his family. However, Batignole’s future son-in-law and Nazi sympathizer, soon discovers Simon and two of his cousins, who have also joined him in hiding.

In that moment, Batignole chooses to act in order to save the children and begins a trip to Switzerland and asylum.
