As part of The Trial Adolf Eichmann: A 50th Anniversary Retrospective, the VHM will present a mini-film festival.

The second film, "Journey Into Life: Aftermath of a Childhood In Auschwitz" tells the stories of three of the Nazi death camp’s youngest survivors, Yehuda Bacon (who, in 1961 was a witness at the Jerusalem trial of Adolf Eichmann), Gerhard Durlacher, and Ruth Kluger. They recount their childhood memories of Auschwitz, the postwar Displacement Persons camps, and the emotional search for a home after the war.

The film also describes their difficult struggles to find meaning and understanding in the wake of their harrowing childhood experiences.

The festival is free and open to the public. For more information please call 804.257.5400 or visit www.va-holocaust.com
