In the United States alone, Lighthouse International reports that 10 million people are legally blind or visually impaired. Worldwide, nearly 37,000,000 people have lost their vision. 'Going Blind' is a unique documentary that raises public awareness of sight loss and the low vision issues profoundly affecting the lives of millions of people and those who love them.

The film interweaves the story of director and journalist Joe Lovett, who attempts to slow down the course of his glaucoma through medication and surgeries, with the stories of others to whom he looks for guidance in a darkening world.
